SDSWC Governing Documents
In August 2026, the Sonoran Desert Scent Work Club Board of Directors revised the Constitution and Bylaws adopted at the club's foundation in April 2020. SDSWC received initial feedback from AKC and the version posted below incorporates AKC changes.
The membership voted to adopt the revised version, which is now fully in effect.
Revised Constitution and Bylaws
Summary of revisions:

Added a 3rd type of membership for Juniors.

Streamlined Election to Membership procedures removing the requirement to attend a meeting prior to applying.

Reduced the number of Regular Club Meeting and Board Meetings both to four (4) times a year as well as reducing the notice of meeting notices for both to three (3) days.

Added one duty to the Treasurer’s responsibilities.

Changed the date required for transfer of records when officers change.

Other minor “housekeeping” changes to make the document consistent within itself.
